  13. This whole OS war bollocks got very tired a long, long time ago.  Here
  14. we go again..... I use Windows 95 because I'm a contractor who is paid
  15. to write database applications which run on other IBM compats under
  16. Windows 3.n/95. So I don't have much choice in the OS that I use on my
  17. machines. However, having experienced all of the other major OS's I'd
  18. still stick with 95, reason being that every machine I've put it on
  19. took a 30 minute set up (and an admin did those, it's so frigging
  20. automated anyway), and they've all been running absolutely fine for
  21. months now. Yes, we've been putting *plenty* of new peripherals into
  22. these machines and the only additional work we've had to *endure* is
  23. popping the 95 CD into the drive when requested. New internet
  24. provider? Plonk the IP addresses into a new connection, and 3 minutes
  25. later I'm back up. I won't babble any further, cos my whole point is
  26. that *it works for ME*. You want to use a Mac? Go ahead, use 10! OS/2?
  27. Fine! Have a ball! I'm not going to use them, cos I couldn't sell a
  28. damn thing to users of these OS's , market just isn't big enough to
  29. justify us spending the time and resources. So, anyone that's been
  30. trotting out the 'sheep' line, just remember that there are many
  31. flocks out there, and baaaa-ing from a minority flock doesn't make you
  32. any less of a sheep.
